BonTerra Ecologists Give Santiago Creek Presentation at ‘Creek Week’
April 28, 2005
At the invitation of the Santa Ana River Watershed Alliance, BonTerra Ecologists Richard Lewis and Sam Stewart presented a multimedia program entitled "Habitat Restoration and Wildlife within Lower Santiago Creek". The presentation was part of a visioning workshop for Santiago Creek, a part of the 'Creek Week' festivities held in March 2005. ‘Creek Week’ included numerous local community members, and employees of the Santa Ana Parks Department, Irvine Valley Land Conservancy, and the Orange County Sanitation District.
Since 2001, BonTerra Consulting has provided environmental services to the City of Orange relating to the construction of the Santiago Creek Bike Trail, planned improvements to Grijalva Park, and habitat restoration within the creek corridor. BonTerra has also contributed biological information for the City's Santiago Creek Master Plan, a joint study between the City of Orange and the U.S. National Park Service.
